Lightning is a bright flash of electricity produced by a thunderstorm. It is one of the leading weather-related causes of injury in the United States. In Richmond County, lightning will most likely strike in the months of June and July. Even with lightning being the leading cause of injury, it has only caused one injury in Richmond County in the past four years.
